Conclusion: This real-world data analysis indicates that BGF is being initiated in patients with COPD experiencing symptoms and exacerbations despite current therapy, and among patients who have various chronic comorbidities, most often cardiopulmonary-related.
Treatment patterns in patients with stable COPD in China: analysis of a prospective, 52-week, nationwide, observational cohort study (REAL)

Ther Adv Respir Dis. 2023 Jan-Dec; 17: 17534666231158283.
Conclusion: ICS/LABA, LAMA and ICS/LABA + LAMA were the most frequently prescribed maintenance treatments for patients with stable COPD in China, although their use differed between region and hospital tier. There is a clear need for improved COPD management across China, particularly in secondary hospitals.

Conclusion: These results support the hypothesis that TIO modulates inflammation by recovering HDAC2 activity from the acetylcholine-stimulated inflammation cascade in neutrophilic asthma. The detailed inflammation cascade of recovering HDAC2 activity by TIO might be associated with PLCγ-1-IP3-IP3R mediated intracellular calcium ion...
Lung deposition of inhaled once-daily long-acting muscarinic antagonists via standard jet nebulizer or dry powder inhaler, measured using functional respiratory imaging, in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease - PubMed

Conclusions: These results demonstrate more efficient intrathoracic and peripheral deposition for revefenacin via standard jet nebulizer than tiotropium via HandiHaler, with similar C/P deposition ratio in patients with COPD. Nebulizers are an efficient alternative to DPIs for bronchodilator administration in patients with COPD.
Availability, affordability and access to essential medications for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in three low- and middle-income country settings
Source : https://journals.plos.org/globalpublichealth/article?id=10.1371/journal.pgph.0001309
Introduction Despite the rising burden of chronic respiratory disease globally, and although many respiratory medications are included in the World Health Organization Essential Medications List (WHO-EML), there is limited information...
Conclusion: The availability and pricing of respiratory medications varied across LMIC settings, with medications for acute care of respiratory diseases being more widely available than those for long-term management.
